Lefkada

The jewel of the Ionian Islands, Lefkada is home to some of the most spectacular beaches in Europe with turquoise and blue hued waters, sun bleached white pebbled sands, on a lush green backdrop, and still remains one of the Ionian’s unspoiled destinations.

Although the sophisticated capital of Lefkada and coastal harbour towns of Nidri and Vassiliki have seen some development over the years, the majority of the island including the charming traditional village of Karya (former capital), and Eglouvi have retained their authentic character. Nidri affords one the most spectacular settings of an archipelago of emerald island gems set in the sparkling blue waters of the Ionian sea, whilst the bay of Vassiliki has become a mecca for water sports and windsurfing enthusiasts and similarly the Agios Ioannis Beach for kitesurfing.
